Finding a skilled therapist with whom you can feel safe, trust, and “click” can be challenging. Trying to manage the weight of trauma, life changes, complex relationships, low moods, and anxiety is even more difficult. Let me tell you more about how I approach psychotherapy to help you figure out if I am the right therapist for you!

My main intention is to understand who you are, why you’ve sought help, and what has led up to this point, and help guide you from where you’re at to where you want to be. Typically, this involves three phases – healing the past, learning to be present, and manifesting the future. We may spend a lot of time in one area and less in the others, but all clients are unique, and each client will have their personalized treatment plan and approach.

I have pursued continuing education in the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Meditation, The Emotion Code, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Inner Child Work, Shadow Work, and Reiki Energy Healing. My work is influenced and guided by the following schools of thought: trauma-informed psychotherapy, neuroscience, the mind-body connection, positive psychology, mindfulness, Buddhism, Taoism, mysticism, ancient wisdom, and modern spirituality.

My clients typically present with anxiety, perfectionism, codependency, unfulfilling or unhealthy relationships, relationship anxiety (ROCD), binge eating, body dysmorphia, low self-worth, being an adult child of an alcoholic (ACA) or a dysfunctional family, and feeling out of touch with their authentic selves.
